Chinas action may be traced to the new leaders trying to flex their muscles on newly acquired status as a growing world power and believing that might is right and therefore can now bully its weaker neighbors like Vietnam Philippines and others mostly with ASEAN. At this stage we may take a good advice from an older revered Chinese leader and that is to put pressure with world opinion. As China is looking towards Africa the Middle East and other countries for its economic expansion it would be best to harness world opinion to prevent China from dominating the rest of the world. The Philippines which is already victimized by China using its cover excuse of a dashline including parts of the West Philippine and labeling it as China Sea.The Philippines should get ASEAN to take a stand against Chinas dominating all of Asia as shown by its bully actions. The Philippines also being a founding member of UN with our own citizen Carlos P. Romulo as among the first to be UN General Assembly President should get all member nations to put pressure on these new Chinese leaders. Our leaders should get the leaders of allied nations as US Japan and AU to stop new Chinas dominating actions. The world clearly should see that it does not need new leaders in the mould of Adolf Hitler who believed might is right and in the process destroyed the peace of the world hence World War II and we know the aftermath.

We would like our national leaders especially our President to be vigilant in upholding our Constitution especially ojr national territory not only to defend but to keep and not.in any manner diminish our souvereignity . Outside of the Spratleys we have Sabah and Bangsamoro. Let not neighbor country leaders led us to believe that they are doing us a favor helping mediate peace while all the while profiting from it. All we need is make our country progress to the point that we can bring prosperity to all Filipinos from Aparri to Jolo and hopefully up to Sabah.

  3. Constantino F.Agbayani says:

Until now the new leaders of China still believing might is right would avoid UN mediation and insisting on bilateral settlement at the same time preventing the Philippines from exercising its territorial prerogatives.Since it is not only the Philippines affected but other ASEAN member countries and also other countries with trade interest in the Pacific region it is best in the interest of all that the issue be settled peacefully and not risk war. The new leaders of China thinking might is right with their new array of weapons should think twice as already Chinas old enemy Japan shedding its Defence Ministry now to War Ministry and allied with another world power the US which lead the WW 2 allied invasion to defeat Germany with its dictator committing suicide rather than admit might is not right.Rather the new leaders follow advice of former Chinese leader and follow the UN advise and stick to what the Chinese do best, trading.
